The House

“Provence Km28” is nestled in the hamlet of Les Imberts just below the historic village of Gordes.

The name of this 17th century staging post derives from the old way of defining the distance between “changing horses” as 28km.

Among the transformations over the years, we have added our own personal stamp by introducing modern style that both respects and complements the beauty of this magnificent property.

The patio

A hundred year old platane (plane tree) provides welcome shade underwhich to enjoy a delicious breakfast on the patio adorned with two olive trees and the classical three cypress trees. That signify a typical Provencal, welcome … with the sound of the fountain seemingly singing in the background …….

The garden

Entirely dedicated to our guests, with a view of the chateau at Gordes in the distance, the garden offers a heated pool and comfortable loungers on which you can relax in full sunshine or under the shade of the various mature trees …….

The building

With all the decorating and modernisation, we have, nevertheless, retained the spirit of the building with its dry stone walls and typically Provencal ceilings, along with several of the artifacts representing the rich past of this former staging post.
